Have you ever wanted to escape the rush of the city and reconnect with nature? That is exactly what inspired me to plan a weekend in Camboriú, Santa Catarina. I chose a place that combined beautiful scenery, affordable rates, and, of course, a little comfort. And so, on February 27, 2023, I set off on a very special adventure.
Breakfast was not included, so I got organized before the trip. I found a few people selling frozen meals on Facebook and brought enough for lunch and dinner. I made sandwiches for breakfast, and of course I packed chimarrão too—it would not be a proper trip without it, right?
The place was wonderful! We spent two days there, a perfect weekend surrounded by the peace of the countryside. The chalet was cozy and very clean. It had two floors and a charming rustic style. Upstairs, there was a bed set low to the floor, very comfortable, and a huge window that covered almost the entire wall and offered a beautiful view of the greenery. Downstairs, there was a bathroom with a great shower and a bathtub with a lovely view of the outdoors. The kitchen was fully equipped, with plenty of utensils, and there was coffee available to make—a small detail that made everything even easier and more welcoming.
The pool was one of our favorite spots, and best of all, it felt as if we had it to ourselves all weekend. That made the experience even more special and relaxing. There was also a small waterfall and a pond with ducks, which made the setting even more charming. To reach the waterfall, we had to walk down a small hill, but it was nothing difficult. We spent a lovely time enjoying both nature and the comfort of the chalet.
Of course, not everything was perfect! The mosquitoes showed up, so here is my tip: do not forget the bug spray. Even so, the trip was a wonderful way to recharge and step away from the fast pace of the city.
This place is a true retreat, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for peace and a connection with nature. The view from the pool was unbelievably beautiful! I love taking photos, but this time I preferred to enjoy the moment. Of course, I still took a few pictures to share below so you can see how special it was.
